📢 Attention, everyone! We have an incredibly inspiring speaker lined up for this Friday's meeting that you won't want to miss! Join us as we welcome Jaime Walker Blanton, a lifelong advocate for inclusion and a firm believer in the power of connection. 🌟

Despite being diagnosed with cerebral palsy at a young age, Jaime has never let her wheelchair define her. She has learned that access, whether to spaces, employment, or people, is not always guaranteed. However, she has dedicated her life to breaking down barriers using openness, authenticity, creativity, tenacity, and humor. Her unique approach to disability rights has garnered her numerous accolades and incredible opportunities.

Jaime has worked alongside former Presidents Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton, championing disability rights legislation and raising community awareness. As Ms. Wheelchair Kentucky 2008 and a top 5 finisher in the Ms. Wheelchair America contest, she has left an indelible mark. She is also the only non-native Kentuckian in a community role to have been granted the privilege of speaking from the floor of both the Commonwealth's House and Senate during legislative sessions. Additionally, at the age of 16, she played a leadership role in the Paralympic Games in her hometown of Atlanta, Georgia.

For over 20 years, Jaime has devoted her career to assisting nonprofits in telling their stories and growing. Currently serving as the Development Director for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Denton County, she oversees the agency's fundraising, community relations, and communications efforts.

Jaime is actively involved in various community roles, including serving on the Civil Service Commission for the City of Denton and as a member of the National Alumni Board for her alma mater, Texas Christian University. With a master's degree from the University of Louisville, Jaime is a true advocate for positive change.

Join us this Friday and be inspired by Jaime's remarkable journey. We're honored to have her as a member of Cross Timbers Rotary Club, and we're excited to learn from her wealth of knowledge and experiences. See you there! 🌈🎤 #InclusionAdvocate #CommunitySpeaker #CrossTimbersRotaryClub
