One of our own Rotarians, Alicia Barker, spoke to us today about Our Daily Bread Denton at our March 25th club meeting. We learned that 1 in 5 residents of Denton County struggle with hunger, and 1200 folks struggle with homelessness. This organization helps individuals meet basic needs and serves 700 meals each day! Alicia has a huge heart, and her life’s work has always been to serve the lost, the last, and the lonely.
