We are delighted to announce that Danelle Parker, RN, BSN, will be our distinguished guest speaker at the upcoming club meeting. With over 23 years of experience within the Texas Health Resources (THR) system, Danelle has made significant contributions to community health improvement.
Beginning her career in the Neonatal ICU at Parkland Health Systems, Danelle transitioned to Texas Health Resources in 2000, where she has since held various roles, including Community Education Coordinator. Currently serving as the Director of Community Health Improvement over the Collin, Denton/Wise, and Parker regions, Danelle plays a crucial role in THR's mission to enhance community well-being.
In 2018, Danelle spearheaded the launch of Texas Health Community Impact, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at addressing social determinants of health. By venturing beyond hospital walls and focusing on factors such as homelessness, food insecurity, and transportation, Danelle and her team are working to ensure that everyone has equitable access to healthcare resources.
Danelle's commitment to improving community health and addressing disparities is evident in her advocacy for the belief that "Your zip code should not make a bigger impact on your health than your genetic code." Her wealth of experience and passion for making a difference will undoubtedly make for an enlightening and inspiring presentation.
Join us as we welcome Danelle Parker to share her insights and experiences in community health improvement. This is a unique opportunity to learn from a leader in the field and gain valuable knowledge that can positively impact our communities. We look forward to seeing you there!
