On Friday, October 13th. we will have our very own Cross Timbers Rotary member Jack Furst as our guest speaker. Jack is a distinguished private investor. Jack is a former Adjunct Professor at The University of North Texas and The University of Texas at Dallas where he taught investments. He has over 38 years of private investment experience completing over $100 billion in transactions which resulted in attractive returns for investors. He received his BS degree with honors from Arizona State University and his MBA degree with honors from The University of Texas at Austin. Jack is a Distinguished Eagle Scout. Jack serves on the board of directors for several companies. He is a lifetime executive board member of Circle Ten Council, BSA (Dallas), an executive board and committee member of Boy Scouts of America (National Council), a lifetime member of Mc Comb's School of Business Advisory Council at The University of Texas at Austin. Jack is a 1998 Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute. He was inducted into W. P. Carey School of Business Hall of Fame at Arizona State University in 1999. Jack is also the recipient of the 2003 Outstanding Young Texas Ex Award and W.P. Carey School of Business 2008 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. In 2017, he was honored as Arizona State University’s Philanthropist of the Year and was designated an Honorary Mountaineer Brigadier in the West Virginia State Militia. In 2018, Jack received the Outstanding Philanthropist Award from the Association of Fundraising Professionals Greater Dallas Chapter and a Honorary Doctorate Degree from West Virginia University.
