Due to the large group going to WICKED on the same night as November’s wine fellowship, I am changing the date to December 4th. Location is TBD. This is the last wine fellowship for 2024. The theme will be “Wine and Dine Around the World”. Everyone can bring a bottle of wine from a region/country and an appetizer from the same area. We will be supporting Our Daily Bread nonprofit and ask everyone to bring trial size shampoos, conditioners, soaps etc. |

We will be assembling 250+ blessing bags at Success Space to support the homeless in our community. These blessing bags will be given to Our Daily Bread and Giving Grace for distribution, as well as any CTR members who would like to keep some in their cars to hand out. Kids are welcome so plan on bringing them to help pack the bags.`

The Community Strong Garden is coming along nicely and the group that participated on the 18th did an AMAZING job! The team at Texas Health who is overseeing the project was blown away with how much work got done so thank you to all who came out and got your hands dirty. There is another opportunity to come out THIS Saturday, February 1 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to work on:

Join us for the launch of the Cross Timbers Rotary Nonprofit Fellowship, a new initiative for Rotarians involved in or passionate about the nonprofit sector! The first meeting will be held on Monday, February 3rd, from 2-3 PM at Special Abilities of North Texas (1511 Justin Rd B, Lewisville, TX 75077).
This fellowship welcomes Rotarians who work in, serve, or support the nonprofit sector. It provides a space to connect, share insights, celebrate achievements, and collaborate on challenges unique to the nonprofit world. Together, we aim to foster stronger relationships and amplify our collective impact.
Each month, a different Rotarian representing their nonprofit will host, giving us the opportunity to learn more about one another’s work and gain a deeper understanding of the incredible contributions happening in our community.

It is time for our 7th Annual Super Bowl Square Contest to TACKLE POLIO. In each of the previous six years, we have Sold ALL the squares, and we hope to do the same again this year.
You can purchase a square for $50. Half ($25) will be credited to your Paul Harris account for donating to the End Polio Now fund and the remaining $25 will be placed into a prize pool.
IF all squares are sold, the total prize pool will be $2,500 and we will donate $2,500 to end polio!!
In any event, the winner for each quarter of the game determined by the score, will win 25% of the total prize pool.

There isn't any heaving lifting required, just a number of people to help stretch the polyethelyne material and work on tightening it. Help one of Giving Grace’s clients to move from a transitional shelter to their forever home. We will meet at Giving Grace’s warehouse to help load furniture and fixtures onto a U-haul and then drive to the apartment and help to unload and set up the apartment so that when she arrives home with her children that afternoon, their home is ready to welcome them. All supplies are included so nothing to bring except muscles and some love for this sweet family getting out on their own. In addition to moving boxes, tasks might include furniture assembly, hanging pictures, making beds, and finishing touches to add to their new home. Come and volunteer at an Adaptive cycling event and bring your bike to ride alongside one of their clients who will be participating. You will help in getting the equipment set up prior to the ride and then help to take adaptive equipment down afterward. All volunteers will be required to sign a waiver. We will be providing a gardening day and beautification of the flower beds at MHMR’s main building replacing old mulch and flowers alongside some of their team. MHMR will provide all supplies but recommends each volunteer bring their gardening gloves and any gardening tools you might have available.
